It's nice to meet you! My name is Cari and I am a filmmaker/entrepreneur born and raised in Portland, Oregon. When I was in school I had the opportunity to live and work in London at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. I graduated from Rutgers University in 2013 with a BFA in acting, moved back to Portland and started working in theater and film right away.
With my extensive dance background (I started training at age four) it wasn't long before I was being asked to choreograph various projects all over Portland. Then I started writing my own work and directing my own films. After copious amounts of list-making and scheduling I began to realize that filmmaking, storytelling and production was how I wanted to spend my life.
I currently work full time as a creative producer at the Jurgen Project I have produced videos for Nike, Intel and HP. I also work as the associate creative director and assist on all of the creative work at the agency.
In my free time I write, direct, shoot and edit my own video content. I also binge watch Handmaid's Tale, teach Lagree classes and spend too much money at Glossier.
I'm passionate about human rights and telling stories that influence our society. I also love fashion, beauty and all things health and wellness related. I find that my own personal expression comes from these mediums. Stay up to date with my work and my current clients by following me on Instagram: @spinnonthings
